The Dangers Of Dinitrophenol (DNP)
Why You Should Avoid Dinitrophenol
The media has today been filled with reports regarding a weight loss ingredient know as Dinitrophenol ( AKA DNP).. it has been announced that Interpol have stepped up investigation into its manufacture and distribution, this follows a number of deaths occurring after users purchased pills containing it online
What Is Dinitrophenol
Dinitrophenol is a synthetic chemical compound that can induce very fast fat loss when taken orally.. it works by dramatically increasing the users metabolism and body temperature, which results in the body burning unwanted fat very quickly.
It is thought to be the harshest and possibly the most dangerous drug ever used in the bodybuilding industry.
First used in the latter part of last century it is estimated that over 100,000 people used it at that time…a substantial number of deaths were reported and also around 2.5% of users developed cataracts… It was subsequently banned in the US by the FDA..
The Soviet army used it to help their soldiers retain body heat when serving in extreme cold conditions
In the UK, DNP is actually used a pesticide
It was originally thought that for most users a safe dose could be in the region of 200mg per day, however we have discovered that some misguided users actually took up to 600mg !!
Dinitrophenol causes dangerous side effects, there is no doubt about that whatsoever – many occur in at least 98% of users..
- Dangerous Increase In Body Temperature
- Intense Sweating
- Yellow Body Fluids
- Water Retention
- Shortness Of Breath
- Reduced Electrolyte Production
Nausea – (affects around 25% of users)
In the UK, 21 year old student Eloise Aimee Parry died in April 2015 after taking pills containing DNP, her mother told the media that she had no idea just how dangerous these pills were and had no intention to take her life, she bought them on line, paying around £70 ($105) for 100 pills ..
The full scale of the drugs effects has not been reported at the time of writing, but a study published in the American College Of Medical Toxicology highlighted 62 deaths directly attributed to DNP, with the risk increasing, particularly in the bodybuilding market since 2001 – the arrival of the internet has made buying these sort of drugs more accessible.
Avoid anything containing DNP… it is at best illegal and will almost certainly put your health (and life) at serious risk.
There are a wide range of alternative products out there that use safe, proven natural compounds that pose very little threat to your health – do your research and never EVER take anything with DNP in the formula.
